Administrative Coordinator - Intake Services

We are temporarily offering a signing bonus for this position of $1,000.

The Intake Administrative Coordinator is responsible for clerical and administrative support for the SF Admissions Department. Providing high quality customer service, the Intake Administrative Coordinator ensures that the administrative and compliance needs of the all San Francisco County contracts are met and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Provides clerical support, including data entry, copying, and other responsibilities.
  • Responsible for managing and responding to all correspondence for the Admissions Department.
  • Manage Office Operations including supply management.
  • Coordinate Medi-Cal Enrollments and Transfer appointments and documentation for our clients entering programs.
  • Run reports in the City/County system to check approval/disapproval of reauthorizations.
  • Run Medi CAL eligibility reports daily.
  • Manage department petty cash fund and keeps accurate records of these funds.

And, other duties as assigned.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years or more experience in an administrative role.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Background Clearance Required:

  • Must not be on active parole or probation.

Knowledge Required:

  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and internet applications.


  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability are imperative.

  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma informed treatment.
  • Knowledge of Clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes etc.).
  • Experience working with criminal justice population.
  • Bilingual.

Compensation: $40,000.00
