The ideal candidate has excellent organization skills and ability to multi task and juggle multiple priorities,  ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data and  professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and reliability are imperative. The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall operations of the San Francisco Intake Department by processing intakes. Admissions Coordinators are also responsible for record keeping, reporting, and monitoring in order to ensure that all program performance standards and regulations are fulfilled. This role requires considerable ability to use good judgment and critical thinking in making routine decisions.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcomes clients to healthRight360 substance abuse, mental health, and gambling services and provides high quality customer     service.
  • Conducts face-to-face interviews with clients to assess for appropriate treatment needs.
  • Communicates and coordinates with outside referral agencies and stakeholders via phone, fax, email, and in person.
  • Ensures all required admission paperwork is completed accurately and entered in a timely manner in multiple electronic data systems.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education Required:

  • Registration with Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by ADP
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment
  • CPR Certified  within 30 days of employment


  • Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by ADP
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

Background clearance

  • Must not be active on parole or probation


  • Culturally competent and able to work with diverse populations
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and internet applications
  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, gambling disorders, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency
Compensation: $15.38
Type: Hourly/ Non-exempt
