If so, HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill an Overnight Monitor position opening at our North County Serenity House Residential program in Escondido, CA. The ideal candidate has the ability to handle sensitive information in a condifential manner and has experience working with substance abuse, mental health, and the criminal justice population. In this position you will learn how to effectively monitor and store client medications, develop clinical skills, and gain experience managing sensitive situations and crisis intervention. NCSH operates a residential facility that serves up to 120 women (with capacity for up to 20 children under 5 years of age) seeking recovery from substance use disorders. We offer gender responsive, trauma informed, person-centered services and evidence based interventions. For clients with co-occurring mental illness, we provide integrated substance use and mental health services which treat both conditions as primary.

Key Responsibilities

-Responsible for management of client medications, including psychotropic medications and controlled substances, including documentation, secure storage, counting and destruction according to policy
-Acts as liaison with staff; monitors and communicates client compliance with regard to medications
-Maintains all medical documentation, including Centrally Stored Medication and Destruction forms, Medication Self-Administration forms, Controlled Substance Logs, Shift-to-Shift Count forms, Discharge Medication forms and various standard letters to physicians and agencies
-Answers telephone and maintains office
-Collects, organizes, and reports results of monthly urinalyses.  Maintains stock of OTC medications and First Aid supplies
-Handle crisis interventions and assess situations for further needs as needed

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-High School Diploma
-Must not be on active parole or probation 
-Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
-Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability are imperative
-Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
-Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

-Bachelor’s Degree in related field 
-Medical Course work in related subjects, i.e., co-occurring disorders, Motivational Interviewing, HIV, HCV, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, harm reduction, etc.
-Registration or Certification with Drug and Alcohol certifying agency recognized by DHCS
