If so, HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill a Community Support Specialist position opening at our Resource Center in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate has experience working with people with histories of homelessness and addiction, loves working as a part of a team, has great attention to detail and has the ability to provide compassionate care as the staff member responsible for front desk patient/client registration and intake. In this position you will gain experience working in a collaborative cross functional team, be involved in trauma informed care, get great customer services and time management skills and help to make meaningful changes in the lives of many. The Community Support Specialist will work within a team to provide support and services to clients at HealthRIGHT 360’s Resource Center. The Resource Center values being a professional space for clients to  gain information, counseling, referrals, and resources for their job search, housing search, and educational goals.  Additional client education sessions are included that focus on social justice, wellness, and health related topics.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Resource Center with day-to-day functions, which includes but is not limited to:
  • Front desk patient/client registration and intake.
  • Active management of patient/client scheduling & referrals to the Resource Center.
  • Insurance eligibility screening, participation within patient/client care team, training of interns & volunteers.
  • Call receptionist for administrative & clinic departments.
  • Ensures a safe space in the waiting area, using de-escalation techniques and trauma informed care approaches.

Compensation: $16.82
