If so, HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill a Dental Front Desk opening at our new Dental Clinic in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate has experience in the dental field, is familiar working with electronic health records and has experience working in a clinic setting; bi-lingual a plus. In this position you will gain experience with dental scheduling and insurance. Below you will find a more detailed description of some of the duties and requirements for this position.

In summary, under the general supervision of the Dental Director and Front Office Lead, the Dental Front Desk position will facilitate communication processes between the public, patients, and internal departments to ensure efficient operations with a customer service focus. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule dental appointments both in-person and over the telephone.
  • Liaison between medical, other Healthright360 programs and dental department, follows up on referrals to dental clinic and from dental clinic as needed.
  • Operate multi-line telephone system.  Answer incoming calls and determine the purpose of calls.  Process calls according to purpose of call and/or forward urgent calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Retrieve messages from voicemail and fax/message inbox and forward to appropriate personnel via telephone encounter if applicable.
  • Assist Front Office Receptionists as time allows.
  • Answer questions about Healthright360 Integrated Care Center and Dental services and provide the appropriate information needed to the persons inquiring.  Ability to communicate effectively in English and (preferably) Spanish.
  • Decipher patient needs and assist patient by scheduling accordingly.  If patient is in need of Urgent Care, call the correct personnel or emergency services to triage patient ASAP.
  • When scheduling patients, add patient to EMR with correct patient information, provide patients with mandatory clinical forms to fill out and sign to scan to patient HUB, collect insurance and enter information into the EMR and scan the insurance card to the system, and collect co-pay when necessary.
  • Receive patient payments such as co-pays, outstanding balances, guarantor payments and assign them to the correct patient accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • One year certificate from College or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dental Front office experience highly preferred, especially in a clinic/community health center setting.
Compensation: $20.00
