Asian American Recovery Services (AARS) is looking for a committed, client-centered staff who are passionate about working with clients who are re-integrating into the community following incarceration and for those that are currently incarcerated. The program will provide psychosocial programming to re-entry clients utilizing evidenced-cased curricula. Services will occur mainly at the Main Jail in San Jose and at Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas, CA. Some programming will also occur at the Re-Entry Resource Center in San Jose, as well as the agency's office, located in Milpitas, CA. Clients in this program range from 18 years old and over.
The main program goal and mission is to improve client coping, reasoning, social and problem-solving skills; to reduce client risk of alcohol and drug relapse; and to reduce overall recidivism.
