Facility Monitor - CPMP Program

Job Overview

Prototypes Community Prisoner Mother Program  is an in-custody, long term residential program located on the campus of Prototypes Women's Center in Pomona. Prototypes is a 180 bed facility providing substance abuse and mental health services to women and women with children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises mothers and children activities, facility rounds, visitation, and driving.
  • May oversee mothers’ work related to independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, meal planning, shopping, etc.).
  • Monitors parent child interactions to ensure safety and well being of children.
  • Assists with community outings.
  • Documentation in client records.
  • Transport clients, as needed.
  • Contacts Program Director, Supervisor, Child/Family Specialist or Case Manager if consultation related to program issues is needed during shifts.
  • Maintain and observe all HIPAA regulations that apply.


Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Registration as a Substance Abuse Counselor with the State of California highly desirable.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in social services and/or mental health/substance abuse treatment.
  • Basic understanding of child development, child abuse, substance abuse  and self sufficiency issues. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • California Driver's License with proof of insurance.
