Medical Records Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as the custodian of client records for HealthRIGHT 360 programs. 
  • Ensures medical record specialists are hired and trained; manages performance and development on the team. 
  • Responsible for processing all medical records requests and subpoenas. 
  • Monitor the retention and destruction medical records by providing audits on a quarterly basis to ensure programs are complying with the medical record retention and destruction policy.  
  • Confers with HR360’s Compliance Officer and/or General Counsel for record releases to auditors.
  • Works collaboratively with Program Development, QA and Compliance to create and/or provide input on medical records policies and procedures. 
  • Develops/leads committees, meetings, presentations, as assigned. 

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 Education and Experience 
 Desired:
 Minimum BA Degree.

 
Required

  •  Background in medical records or compliance.
  •  Strong understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part II standards.
