Overnight Monitor

Job Overview

Prototypes Bridge housing is a 50 bed transitional living environment. Monitor works within a multi-disciplinary environment to provide housing and life skills support to women and women with children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registered SUD Counselor and/or AA in related field
  • Maintaining floor activities during the hours of 10:00 pm to 7:00 am.
  • Regularly assess the unit situations as they arise.
  • Be available to assist clients who have personal problems or sleeplessness.
  • Regularly do rounds through all apartents to make sure clients are safe and are  in their assigned beds. (including children).
  • Check all areas in chart room for any filing that may need to be done.
  • Make sure all passes are put out on time for morning shift
  • Monitor medication
  • Immediately inform Manager on Call of a situation that is necessary and/or could need medical assistance. 
  • Document  any client activities that arise during the shift.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a substance abuse treatment setting, supportive housing, or related facility.
  • Basic understanding of child development, child abuse, substance abuse  and self sufficiency issues.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • California Driver's License with proof of insurance.
Compensation: $14.00
