If so, HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill a Part-Time Group Facilitator opening at our AARS SF Youth/Jail TAY Program in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate has experience facilitating groups using evidence based curriculum, working in a jail setting and documenting sessions and obtaining releases of information.  Sound interesting? Program/Department Description

The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating groups in San Francisco County Jail. Staff will facilitate groups in both County Jail #4 and County Jail #2 using the Living in Balance Curriculum.  Living in Balance is a 12 week curriculum that focuses on substance use education and support.  Staff will also utilize both internal and community resources available for these clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

Treatment Setting Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates group sessions and community meetings and teaches classes on various substance use related topics.  
  • Plans and facilitates client celebrations and special events.
  • Works in collaboration with Sheriff’s Department by attending meetings and trainings, upholding the norms, policies, and procedures of the Sheriff’s Department.  
  • Attends any required agency trainings and meetings.

Documentation Responsibilities:

  • Properly documents group sessions in a timely manner.
  • Also, maintains accurate documentation for all clients in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 and the Sheriff’s Department to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.  
  • And, other duties as assigned. 

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education  Required:  

  • Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by DHCS or Bachelor’s Degree in related field and Registration with Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by DHCS    

Background Clearance  Required:  

  • Must not be on active parole or probation  
  •  Maintain security clearance from Sheriff’s Department

Knowledge  Required:

  • Experience facilitating groups
  • Experience working in a jail setting
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and internet applications

Desired:

  • Experience with evidence based group curriculum

  • Knowledge of clinical documentation
  • Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability are imperative
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Outstanding ability to follow-through with tasks

  • Able to communicate well at all levels of the organization including working with organization leadership and high-level representatives of partner organizations 
Compensation: $18.00
