SUD Counselor I - 890 SF Residential

Job Overview

HealthRIGHT 360 is currently looking to fill several Entry Level Substance Use Disorder Counselor positions at our 890 Hayes male residential program. The ideal candidate has experience working with substance use and mental health issues, diverse populations and the criminal justice system and possesses group and individual facilitation skills. In this position you will gain experience working with evidence-based practices, further develop clinical skills and documentation, plus gain knowledge of an electronic health record system.  Sound interesting? Key Responsibilities

  • Drug and Alcohol Certificate Registration recognized by DHCS
  • Experience assessing client needs, ASI preferred
  • Individualized Treatment Planning based on client needs
  • Documentation that clearly reflects objectives of treatment plan
  • Referrals to internal/external resources base on the clients individualized treatment plan
  • Works well with others, team approach
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Organizes and establishes priorities; gets the job done in a timely manner

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • First Aid Certified within 30 days of employment 
  • CPR Certified within 30 days of employment
  • Valid California driver’s license 
  • Must not be on active parole or probation  
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check 
Compensation: $35,000.00-$40,000.00
Type: Hourly/ Non-exempt
