The Supervising Care Coordinator is responsible for direct supervision of residential staff. Through supervision and training, the Supervising Care Coordinator ensures that all aspects of the residential processes and operations are functioning efficiently and in compliance with contracts and licensing regulations for the program. 

Key Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direct supervision and training of Care Coordinators and Monitors.
  • Coordinates clinical schedules.
  • Handles aspects of management and day-to-day operations, including direct supervision and mentoring of subordinate staff.

Treatment Setting Responsibilities:  

  • In coordination with the Program Director and treatment team, ensures that all clinical processes occur.  
  • May be asked to maintain a caseload of clients in collaboration with the therapists on the residential team based on programmatic needs. 
  • Facilitates groups and individual counseling sessions focusing on issues related to early recovery from substance use.
  • Performs crisis intervention and communicates with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise. Responds to emergencies as needed.
  • Responsible for safety and security of the program and mediates client grievances.  
  • Handles all facility issues including submitting maintenance and facility repair requests.  Manages all food and janitorial supply order and deliveries.
  • Attends required trainings and meetings for the agency. Plans and facilitates client celebrations and special events. May work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ensures the clinical schedule is implemented and followed.

Case Management Responsibilities:

  • Proactively links clients to both internal and external resources based on their treatment needs and follows up on the progress/status.

Administration and Compliance:  

  • Maintains accurate documentation on all clients in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 and to satisfy all regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensures that clients are in compliance with their treatment plans and other program requirements.
  • Makes treatment team aware of any discrepancies and follows up to ensure that discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Completes required record reviews in a timely manner.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge

Required:

  • Knowledge of approaches to recovery and options for recovery support in the community.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency

 Desired:

  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed treatment
  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of Clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes etc.)
  • Experience working with criminal justice population
