Job Overview

The Prevention & Aftercare (PnA) program provides strength-based home visitation, case management and navigation services with parents who are at-risk of entering the child protection services system. This is a DCFS funded child abuse prevention program. The Program Supervisor will be responsible for implementation and day-to-day oversight of prevention services including a team of Parent Navigators, groups, wellness activities, family engagement activities, and an annual large-scale community event.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations and oversight to meet program goals and objectives.
  • Hire, train, coach, and support a team of Parent Advocates/Case Navigators and Cultural Brokers to meet agency and contract goals.
  • Responsible for implementing service delivery that is high quality, client-centered, trauma informed, and culturally relevant.
  • Ensure that the client’s record is of high quality and kept up to date as part of the service provided.
  • Implement and oversee the fidelity of evidence-based models and data evaluation outcomes.
  • Attends external program specific meetings and events to ensure that the program is in compliance and is kept up to date on trends related to client tcare and to represent Prototypes.
  • Responsible for ensuring all reports, required data, and documentation are submitted to the funder.
  • Coordinate prevention services that may include; mental health wellness activities, family engagement activities, collaborations with subcontractors, DCFS directed events, and an annual large-scale community event.
  • Implements integration of behavioral health services to improve the continuum of client care.
  • Ensures all direct reports are properly trained and updated on HIPAA regulations and compliance as well as any other ongoing compliance and regulatory requirements.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, human development, or related field
  • Minimum of three years’ experience providing supervision to direct service providers in community based, field-based, or other social services working with families with complex needs.
  • Willingness to travel to provide field-based services
  • Dependable automobile, California Driver's License, and valid car insurance.
  • Must be able to pass background/criminal check.
