Transportation Specialist

Job Overview

Prototypes Women's center is a 180 bed residential facility for women and women with children. We provide comprehensive substance use disorder, mental health, and psychiatric care by an interdisciplinary team of professionals. Treatment episode ranges in time from 60 days to 6 months. Prototypes is a fast-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transports individuals released from custody in a safe and professional manner to designated SUD treatment provider destination
  • Communicates with referral source in order to receive relevant data and instructions for transporting individuals released from custody to SUD treatment services
  • Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use maps accurately
  • Performs all related duties as assigned by the referral agency and CHS-SUD Program Manager
  • Participate in weekly case conference with the Care Coordinator
  • Coordinate all participants’ releases with Care Coordinator

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid California Class B Driver’s license
  • Minimum 2 years professional driving experience


  •  Background Clearance
  •  Must not be on active parole or probation
  •  5 years DMV printout of no driving violations
  •  Must pass mandatory and random drug and alcohol screenings
  •  Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population
  •  Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications
  •  Knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance
  •  Knowledge of transportation equipment for physically disabled


Compensation: $14.25
Type: Hourly/ Non-exempt
