Dr. Ako Jacintho joined HealthRight 360 after 11 years of private practice in Berkeley. He is a physician licensed in the specialty of Family Medicine, and he completed his medical residency training at the UCSF/SFGH Family Medicine Residency Program in San Francisco.
He originates from the east coast, where he completed is initial studies in Chemical Engineering from Brown University, and earned a Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Jacintho has a long history of commitment to serving the underserved in urban areas, and has travelled extensively practicing medicine in rural places in South America and Africa. He studied and became fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese to lend his practice of medicine to a broader population. He has extensive experience and interest in treating patients with HIV, Hep C, mental health disorders, substance use disorders and chronic pain management.
