Union City Outpatient Program

A program of Asian American Recovery Services

The Union City Outpatient Program provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programming and intensive outpatient services for adult residents (18 years of age and older) of Alameda County who are indigent and have Alameda County MediCal or are currently uninsured. 

Services provided:

  • Intake and assessment
  • Treatment planning
  • Patient education
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Family Support
  • Collateral services
  • Case management/care coordination
  • Crisis intervention
  • Discharge planning
  • Recovery support services

 The Union City Outpatient Program provides culturally and linguistically responsive services to all individuals. Specialty and priority populations served are:

  • The Asian/Pacific Islander population
  • The Latino population
  • Transition Aged Youth (TAY; ages 18 to 25)
  • Individuals involed in the criminal justice system

Program participants can be referred through the following means:

  • Self-referral
  • Referral by friends/family
  • Managed Medi-Cal healthcare plans
  • Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
  • Other mental health and SUD providers contracted by Alameda County
  • Substance use access/referral helpline
  • Criminal justice management program
  • Drug courts
  • Cherry Hill Detoxification Program Services in San Leandro
  • Other Alameda County departments, schools, and community-based organizations.
