SUD screenings and referral to treatment services
The CENS program ensures access, referrals, and support services to identify and address substance use disorder (SUD) treatment needs for individuals who are also involved in other community, city, county, and state systems across Los Angeles County. CENS involve face-to-face interactions to facilitate access to and completion of SUD treatment across Service Planning Areas Three. These services are geared toward preventing and decreasing SUD, improving health outcomes, reducing frequent use of hospitals and emergency departments, obtaining employment, maintaining income benefits and housing, reuniting with children, and satisfying probation requirements or pre- or post-plea diversion.
