A Program of HealthRIGHT 360

HealthRIGHT 360’s Gilroy Residential Treatment Program, located at 8292 Murray Avenue, expands access to residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and withdrawal management services in South Santa Clara County. This facility has been designed as a co-occurring capable behavioral
health facility, which brings together multiple levels of care in one setting, supporting individuals at different stages of treatment through coordinated, evidence-based services.
Funded through California’s Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) and developed in partnership with Santa Clara County and the City of Gilroy, this program addresses a critical gap in local treatment capacity. Services are available 24 hours a day in a structured, supportive environment focused on stabilization, clinical care, and long-term wellness.
Programs & Services

The coed residential program provides a continuum of care, including:
- Withdrawal Management (ASAM Level 3.2)
- Residential Treatment (ASAM Levels 3.1, 3.5)
- Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
- Mental Health Services
- Care Coordination and Discharge Planning
Services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to individual needs. Programming is offered in English and Spanish, with a focus on cultural humility and inclusive care.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of facility is this?
This is a licensed residential behavioral health facility providing SUD treatment and withdrawal management services in a structured, supportive setting. Length of stay is time-limited and based on clinical need and individualized treatment plans.
Is this permanent housing?
No. The program is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services as a residential treatment facility, which does not permit permanent housing. Stays are clinically defined and focused on treatment and recovery. Withdrawal management typically involves a seven-day stay before individuals transition to residential treatment. While individuals may stay for up to 90 days, residential treatment typically lasts 60 days.
How do people enter the program?
Most participants are referred through Santa Clara County’s behavioral health system or by healthcare and community-based providers. Individuals who request help directly can also be screened for services. Referrals are then coordinated through the appropriate Santa Clara County channels.
Are services available to the general public on a walk-in basis?
Walk-ins are welcome during designated hours; however, all admissions require a clinical assessment to determine eligibility and appropriate level of care. Services are ultimately provided to enrolled participants, and staff can assist with completing the referral and assessment process and connecting individuals to appropriate care pathways. The site includes a driveway with visitor/temporary parking where individuals can arrive and access intake services during walk-in hours.
What kind of supervision and safety measures are in place?
The site operates with 24/7 staffing, controlled access points with a fenced perimeter around the property, and established clinical and operational protocols. Visitation is structured and limited to approved times, and all activities on-site are guided by state licensing requirements and program policies to support a safe and stable environment.
What happens after someone completes the program?
Discharge planning begins at admission and is an ongoing, individualized process that includes coordination with housing programs, outpatient treatment, primary care, and other community-based services. Prior to discharge, staff work with each participant to develop a transition plan that reflects their clinical needs, preferences, and available community resources. This includes active linkage to appropriate levels of ongoing care, such as outpatient SUD services, behavioral health supports, and housing navigation resources when eligible and available. HealthRIGHT 360 also partners with local outpatient and housing providers to support continuity of care and help ensure individuals are connected to services that promote stability following treatment completion. When participants are transitioning to another treatment, housing, or supportive services setting, staff coordinate referrals and arrange transportation and transfer as appropriate. Participants are supported in identifying and accessing appropriate next-step placements, including family reunification, or services to reduce the risk of service disruption after discharge.
When will the project open?
Timelines are subject to change, but construction is anticipated to begin in January 2027, with program launch currently expected in December 2027.
