6th Street Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP)

A Program of Walden House

A licensed, residential facility for 200 men of which 180 are classified as inmates in CDCR custody serving the remaining two-year term of their sentence in the program and 20 parolees in the community reentry phase. We provide comprehensive substance use disorder treatment, mental health services, family reunification, employment services, a fully equipped Resource Center, and linkages to permanent housing. The MCRP is designed to help participants successfully reenter the community from prison and reduce recidivism. Services include individualized and group counseling, substance use disorder (SUD) counseling and education consistent with evidence-based principles, services for Co-Occurring Disorders (COD), literacy, employment readiness, life skills, and housing assistance. It is a voluntary program for eligible inmates committed to state prison which allows them to serve the end of their sentences in the community in lieu of confinement in state prison.

HealthRIGHT 360 is contracted with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to provide these services at the 6’th Street Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP).
