Psychology Doctoral Internship and Postdoctoral Residency Program
HealthRIGHT 360 is pleased to announce the launch of our new Doctoral Internship Program, which is accepting applications through the APPIC (Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) Match. Our APPIC directory listing (#2652) can be viewed here.
The internship program is designed to prepare interns to effectively deliver psychological services in community mental health settings, with a focus on serving marginalized populations who often experience co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use issues), homelessness, criminal justice involvement, and systemic barriers to care. To achieve this, our training curriculum is focused on evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and cultural competency. Interns will participate inweekly didactic training (2 hours), individual supervision (2 hours), and group supervision (2 hours). All interns complete a main rotation at Adult Outpatient Services and select minor rotations at one of our outpatient or residential programs. Interns may choose one year-long minor rotationortwo six-month rotations. The internship training handbook can be viewed and downloaded here.
In addition to the internship, we are also developing a Postdoctoral Residency Program that will provide advanced clinical training for doctoral graduates working toward independent licensure as psychologists. Residents will further develop their expertise in working with marginalized communities, particularly those with co-occurring disorders, while gaining experience in treating complex clinical presentations. Primary placements for residents will be at our residential programs.Additionally, residents will refine skills in supervision, consultation, and leadership within an interdisciplinary team.
The HealthRight 360 Doctoral Internship is an APPIC Member.
